Newegg is coming to Singapore alongside to other countries like India, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand and Poland by end of June 2014. Currently it is only in four countries (US, Canada, UK and Australia).
For the unaware, Newegg is one of the largest online retailer of computer hardware and software that is based in California, United States.
Matt Mullenweg who is the co-founder of WordPress and founder of Automattic stop by Singapore on the 4th June 2014 as part of his Summer Tour which includes cities like Seoul, Jakarta, Singapore, Tokyo, Osaka, Manila, Melbourne, Sydney, Wellington and Auckland.
I knew Matt since b2 days but never had a chance to met him till he came to Singapore! And of course, a picture with him is compulsory!
As long as one of your items doesn’t qualify for AmazonGlobal Saver, your whole order doesn’t qualify. Anything single item that is bigger than 18 x 11 x 8 inches (45cm x 28cm x 20cm) or 20 pounds (9kg) will not qualify for AmazonGlobal Saver. I also heard that if your single item costs more than US$50 it will not qualify for AmazonGlobal Saver as well.
The much anticipated Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III will be available in Singapore from June 2014 for S$1,199. It is not really a successor to the popular Sony Cyber-shot RX100 II because the RX100 II will still be on sale targeting a different audience because of the cheaper, S$899, price point.
For the RX100 III, Sony updated the lens to ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-70mm F1.8-2.8, added a retractable OLED Tru-Finder aka Electronic viewfinder (EVF) and changed the LCD so that it can be tilted 180° to take selfie photos.
The SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive is a pocket-sized media drive that comes with either a 32GB or 64GB built-in flash drive and a SD Card slot. It is extremely portable measuring only 65mm x 65mm x 13.5mm and weighing only 77g. The 32GB retails for S$139 while the 64GB retails for S$209.
The Media Drive is encased in aluminum and that gives it a solid build!
The Linksys WRT1900AC box got to be the biggest box for a router that I have received. When I opened the box, everything is held in place with foam instead of cardboard and there is sponge sticked to the top of the box to protect the router. I have not seen such premium packaging before for a router.
The Linksys WRT1900AC will be retailing for S$399 which makes it the most expensive consumer router that I come across. It is even more expensive than the Asus RT-AC68U. It will be exclusively available at all Challenger outlets from 22nd May 2014 (yesterday) to 22nd June 2014. After that, it will be available at all other leading IT stores in Singapore from 23 June 2014 onwards.
