Lucky Draw
Yesterday went to an OCBC dinner together with my mom at Grand Shanghai. The food for that day is kind of lousy but the activities organize for us is quite cool, there is cartoon sketch, Chinese fan painting and photo taking with a trishaw. My mom did a Chinese fan painting and both of us was queuing for the cartoon sketch while they have the lucky draw session. To my amaze, when they call out 8833, I couldn’t believe my ears, my mom’s lucky draw coupon has won the 1st prize. It is all the Chinese zodiac characters gold plated together with a Martell Cordon Bleu.
Personally I don’t believe in lucky draw till yesterday.
Fearless And I Not Stupid Too
Fearless
Caught this action flick on the 2nd day of Lunar New Year. I must say that this is indeed the best Jet Li movie after so many years. I still think he is more suitable for those “Wu Xia” movie rather than those modern day type of fighting movie. It is also touching towards the end of the movie. This movie is based on a true story.
I Not Stupid Too
Jack Neo’s latest movie. Although most of his movies are quite average, but this movie is a must watched because this movie portray a very real life situation between kids these days and their parents, how they communicate and how their parents interpret them. It is funny but at the same time very very touching. Saw some of the guys with watery eyes after watching the movie.
University Enrollment
Chinese New Year
Pay the usual visit to the relatives’ house during the Chinese New Year. Except that 3 of us (siblings) gathered to Mr Yuan’s house. Hee~ It’s been long time I have seen him after his retirement. Anyway, great visits and had a lot to catch up.
University
I have enrolled for NUS and NTU this year. Will need to prepare my portfolio and a short video of about myself and send them in by this Friday for the design course i am opting in NTU. Still thinking of other schools like NAFA. But will be going to their open house 9 to 11 February 2006.
Happy Lunar New Year 2006
Had the reunion dinner at 4 plus yesterday. Pretty early I guess. But we have the whole night to rest and relax.
My youngest sister suggested calling my primary school Chinese teacher so that she can collect hong bao. (-.-‘”) Make me hesitated for quite a while thinking about what to say in the first place. Anyway, 3 of siblings have fixed to meet on the third day of the Chinese new year. Let’s see what he is going to comment on. Yadada~ Yadada~
Thailand Friends
Had an eventful weekends last week, as we meet up with our Thailand friends and brought them around Singapore for shopping.
They have been to Chinatown, Little India, Funan IT Mall, Habour Front and Suntec City. The most memorable one is the Little India trip. That was like my second time to Little India, after bringing Adam 2 years ago. There is this new arcade that sells quite a number of jewellery. Bought some bangles there but the girls are shopping like crazy.
Wallace And Gromit
Wallace & Gromit – Curse of the Were-Rabbit
Caught Wallace & Gromit yesterday at GV Jurong Point. Heard some good and also bad reviews about it. But after watching it, I must say that it is a good show. Recommended. It is very funny and cute at the same time, especially those bunnies. Before the show starts, there is a mini movie called The Madagascar – Penguins In A Christmas Caper. Nothing new about it. I guess most of us had already watched it a month ago.
Sony Ericsson W810i
Sony Ericsson launches W810i at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2006 (CES). The design is like a K710i design with W800i walkman features. It will feature both the activity menu and the walkman button. It comes with EDGE, Quadband and a 512Mb memory stick. Sounds good? The cons are that it only has a 20mb internal memory and every other thing else is the same as K710i/W800i. It will be shipping in March 2006.
It’s 2006
Happy New Year Guys!. It is 2006. 6 more months to Germany 2006!
Went to CA for dinner yesterday, sat there for a straight 4 hours, after that we had some chilling out at Suntec’s City Fountain Of Wealth before proceeding to Esplanade to see the fireworks.
3 Days To 2006
Ah yes, finally an update. Been very very busy for the past weeks, sleeping early, doing programming and going out. Finally found some time in camp to post this.
Just came back from my 1st gym session in SAFTI. I must exercise, if not I will be getting fatter each day and my clothes will soon be smaller.
Thailand Trip
Day 1 (Friday, 02-12-05)
Our maxi cab came at 8 am; we reached the airport slightly before 9 am. Had our breakfast at the Terminal 1 canteen before checking in. Our flight, FD3502 is at 11 am. The flight is around 2 hours. We reached Bangkok at about 12 pm Bangkok time. Their time is 1 hour before Singapore.
We checked into Asia Hotel before proceeding to Mah Boon Krong (MBK) for lunch at the foodcourt. We took the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS), it is similar to our MRT but just that all the stations is elevated. They are still using our Farecard system, the same as Singapore last time. Their one day pass cost TH฿100 and allow you unlimited rides for the day. TH฿100 is around $4.20 SGD.
