Here is a piece of good news (brought to you by ZALORA) to all fashion-forward and tech savvy Android users who love to shop on-the-go.
ZALORA, South-East Asia’s fastest-growing fashion and beauty e-retailer, has finally announced a further expansion of its mobile repertoire with the recent launch of its Android shopping app across the region. With the preceding success of ZALORA iPhone shopping app which became the number one lifestyle app in the iTunes store within 24hours of the initial launch, the launch in July offers Android users an alternative, convenience-centric shopping experience.
My current doorbell at home has lasted me for 28 years (since 1985) and hence I got a new SoundTeoh No. 77 Wireless Doorbell from Funan’s Challenger for S$28.60 (member’s price: S$25.74).
28 years later, it seems technology also changes doorbell. There are so many types right now: wireless, wired, AC powered, battery powered, mp3 (using SD card) and 20 built-in tones.
Bought the Bluelounge Milo (Aluminium) from Funan’s Challenger for S$39 (member’s price: S$35.10). I already own a Bluelounge Milo (Original) which I bought almost 2 years back.
Even though the aluminium is S$20 more expensive, I love every aspect of it. The build is solid and weighs slightly heavier than the original (40g vs 12g). Because of this, when the Milo is placed on the table, it more stable when supporting a slightly heavier mobile device.
Got the Powerocks Stone 3 which is a 7800mAh Dual USB Power Bank from my cousin in Hong Kong. I am not too sure of the local retail price, but on Amazon, it is retailing for US$48.50 (S$62.50).
As the name “stone” implies, this power bank is pretty heavy (like a stone) due to the 7800mAh battery and it weighs 500g.
Personally, I find the service level in Singapore acceptable. I think the service level in retail shops are generally better than those in F&B. If I have to name one F&B in Singapore that has the worst service, it got to be Crystal Jade Kitchen.
Having been to the US (but not yet Japan), the service level in US is awesome for both for retail and F&B.
My family got me the Apple Thunderbolt Cable (2m) from Apple Store at IFC, Hong Kong when they are there for a holiday. It is retailing for HK$288 in Hong Kong and S$48 in Singapore. Due to the weakening Singapore Dollar against the Hong Kong Dollar, it is about the same price after currency conversion. It used to be slightly cheaper.
You can connect your MacBook Air to your iMac using this cable and this will turn your iMac into a secondary monitor.
Speck SeeThru for MacBook Air is a hardshell casing for the MacBook Air 11″/13″.
It is thinner and lighter than the STM Grip for MacBook Air but lacks the inner linings of the suede to protect the casing from scratching the MacBook Air. The casing material is also extremely reflective as seen in the photos.
