WP-ServerInfo

I have coded this plugin within a night. It enables you to display your server’s PHP information from “phpinfo()” and MYSQL information from “SHOW VARIABLES” on your Dashboard under the sub-tab called “WP-ServerInfo”. Here is a screenshot of it. I will release it along side with almost all my plugins updates for WordPress 2.1. Most of them will break with WordPress 2.0.x including this because I am using some of the functions available in WordPress 2.1 only.

If you are wondering what plugin I used to modify those dates to Today, Yesterday, 5 Days ago, 1 minute ago, etc. It is one of my plugin called WP-RelativeDate.

Changing Of Host Completed

If you are able to see this announcement, it means that the site has successfully move to the new host (Dreamhost to be exact). I signed a 2 year contract with them for (USD$100.80), hopefully they do not let me down.

This site is definitely slower for me in terms of load time as the host no longer reside in Singapore (where I live), but it maybe faster for some of you guys also.

Last but not least, if there is any problem, do post in the forum under Site & Forum Issues

WordPress 2.0.6

WordPress 2.0.6 has been released and it will be the last release before WordPress 2.1 comes out of the door. And of course I just updated this site to WordPress 2.0.6.

My new download plugin shall be called WP-DownloadManager after suggested by Giovanni Putignano and looking through the names of download scripts listed in HotScripts.

I received emails from some of my users regarding a more advanced ratings system and comments rating system. If I have the time in May to August (my summer holidays), I will jump to it.

WordPress 2.1

Thanks to a fellow member (Turk) in GaMerZ.Forums, I came to know that WordPress 2.1 is in the beta stages, beta 1 to be exact. Some of my plugins maybe broken with WordPress 2.1 like WP-PageNavi and WP-Stats, but I had already fixed them. If you need it to test it out, feel free to drop me an email.

If you find any of my plugins that are not compatible with WordPress 2.1, please let me know so that I do not need to test all my plugins against WordPress 2.1

Now I need some ideas, I have been thinking the name of my new downloads plugin, but just could not come out with any name nice. WP-Downloads and WP-Download-Manager is taken.

I have the following in mind:
WP-Download (without the s)
WP-FileDownloads
WP-DownloadManager

Any suggestions are welcomed =)

4 Plugins Updated & 1 New Plugin

I have released updates for 4 of my WordPress plugins namely, WP-Polls 2.13, WP-PostRatings 1.05, WP-Stats 2.06 and WP-UserOnline 2.06. These 4 plugins have been internationalized. You can now easily localize it by translating it into your own language by modifying the .po file that is inside the zip with PoEdit.

I have also release 1 new plugin called WP-Ban. It enables WordPress Admin to ban users by their IP or host name from visiting your WordPress site. When the banned users visit your WordPress Site, they will get a message which can be edited via WP-Admin -> Options -> Ban -> Ban Message.
