It is confirmed that WordPress 2.7 will have the Sticky Post feature built into the core. It is a simplified version of my plugin, WP-Sticky, in which it has just one style which is “sticky” as compared to two styles in WP-Sticky which basically sticks all the post that are marked sticky on the front page. If I am not wrong if there are 2 posts that are marked sticky, the 2 posts will be sorted by date in descending order (latest first).
I decided to retire WP-Sticky as WordPress 2.7 has that built it into the core. Now my plugin count has been reduce to 14.
Due to a large number of request, I decided not to retire WP-Sticky and I have updated it be compatible with WordPress 2.7. See here.
I have make the following additions/changes to WP-Polls 2.20:
NEW: Poll Archive Link Template
NEW: Poll Templates Has Now Its Own Page ‘WP-Admin -> Polls -> Poll Templates’
NEW: Poll Widget Can Now Display Multiple Polls
FIXED: Poll Archive Will Now Show Only Polls That Are Closed
I hope I can released WP-Polls 2.20 in mid May 2007.
I have left 1 more task to do which I have no idea how to design it; To improve the Edit Poll page where it shows a list of IP addresses of the users who voted for the poll. Imagine you got 4000+ people who voted for the poll like the sample poll you see on the right sidebar. It will be a nightmare when it comes to editing the poll (due to the time taken to render the page).
WordPress 3.1.2 has been released and is a security release for all previous WordPress versions.
This release addresses a vulnerability that allowed Contributor-level users to improperly publish posts.
We suggest you update to 3.1.2 promptly, especially if you allow users to register as contributors or if you have untrusted users. This release also fixes a few bugs that missed the boat for version 3.1.1.
