Today marks the anniversary of September 11th attacks. New Yorkers are holding ceremonies and remembrances on Wednesday to mark the first anniversary, commemorating the thousands of lives lost at the World Trade Center a year ago.
One more day to the September 11th anniversary; I wonder if anything happens tomorrow. Let's pray for world peace. Stayed school till 6.30pm on P&Q2 assignment with my group, done. One assignment down, six to go.
At lunch I went with friends to see our P&Q2 teacher outside ICT office, where five lecturers were prowling the level, catching students for long hair, dyed hair, missing lanyards, slippers or singlets. They mean business.
Breakfast at Crystal Jade Kitchen, average to my taste buds. Bought a present for someone special, her birthday a few days off; she's turning 18. Headed to Suntec to work on P&Q2 assignment with my group.
Woke in the afternoon and spent most of it on the 'sticky news post', pretty much done. Met my friends in the evening for dinner at Geylang, then Orchard Road, wandering until 9.30pm before heading home.
Learnt Java animation in my DSAL practical and skinning in CANI, both tough, skinning especially. Cut my hair in the afternoon, since Monday brings SP's strict discipline check; no playing around this time, they mean it.
Posting earlier these days now school's on, early nights, and I'll try to post daily. DEUI assignment 2 part 1's deadline was extended, bad news: it means more work, categorising in three ways instead of one.
No more tests till the semester's end. The WWWP paper was easy, a few careless mistakes, or I'd got full marks. Caught Stuart Little 2 at Plaza Singapura after, 80 minutes, not bad, the cat's hilarious.
My CANI practical test was easy, identical to the past-year paper. Plenty of chaos beforehand though: students not allocated computers, not enough machines. Clearly the CANI practicals never had full attendance, despite what the register shows.
Today's DSAL practical test was tough. I hope I pass. Started thinking it easy, but the ending was brutal. Stayed till 5pm on CANI assignment 2 storyboarding with my group; I skipped the drawing, my art sucks.
Spent the whole afternoon studying for tomorrow's DSAL practical test. Went to Changi Airport Terminal 1 to fetch my uncle, dinner at the Swensen's there. My baby cousin is finally out of hospital after two months.
Met my poly friends at Tiong Bahru Plaza for lunch at foodcourt, long since my last, with new stalls. They came to my place for CANI assignment 1 storyboarding; my art sucks, so I barely helped.
Watched Eight Legged Freaks at GV Marina, an hour 45, more funny than scary. No idea why 8 Days rated it 2.5 stars; it deserves 3.5 or higher. That's eight movies this August, nearly $85 spent.
Watched Lilo & Stitch this afternoon, 90 minutes, not bad. Disney cartoons rarely fail. Slept at 5am the other night after some Worms 2; didn't win a single round of mahjong, no luck gambling at all.
Posting from Jack's house. One round of mahjong and I lost, didn't win a single round. They're watching TV; we'll resume later. Earlier I was at a classmate's place filming from 1pm to 6pm, dragging forever.
Woke early. 10am counts as early for me. Went to school to act in a friend's video-production assignment. First shots were all NG while we warmed up; shooting began at 12pm, by 3pm we'd hit our stride.
Watched Austin Powers: Goldmember today. I'd had a poor impression beforehand, but it turned out decent, lame yet funny at once. Ate Seoul Garden first; it's changed a lot, though we enjoyed the buffet as always.
Went to Robinsons at Centrepoint with my family. My dad bought a pen for $200-plus. Dim sum at Lei Garden Seafood Restaurant in Orchard Plaza, the best I've ever had; my whole family goes nowhere else.
Watched Triple X at Suntec City, about two hours, a must for action-movie lovers, with non-stop action throughout. Also discovered the trip from Hougang to my place takes 90 minutes. Heading out with my poly friends.
Bugis after school shopping with Alvin and Jacky: teppanyaki at food court, then Suntec. Walking to Raffles City, we passed the U2 shop at City Link, spotted a shirt and all three of us bought one.
Discovered SP's servers hold games, playing UT and Quake 3 illicitly when no lab tech was around. There's FIFA and NBA Live; I wonder if they'll add Warcraft III. My IWED assignment 1 around 1,000 words.
Finished watching Tomorrow Never Dies and Dante's Peak on Channel I and 5. Both started at 10pm, so I kept flicking between them. I'd seen both in cinema years ago; rewatching on TV refreshes my memory.
