Sony Xperia P, Sony Xperia U & Sony Xperia sola are now available in Singapore across all Sony stores, Sony centres and Xperia concept stores as well as local telcos (SingTel, M1, StarHub).
Sony Xperia P will be retailing for S$688 in silver and black.
In case you are unaware, Samsung announced Samsung Galaxy SIII which is the successor to the Galaxy SII and their flagship mobile phone at Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 yesterday in London.
Samsung provided a live stream to the event but apparently the NDA for the Samsung Galaxy SIII of those major tech sites was lifted right before the event. So it is weird to see so much details of the phone even before the person went up on stage to officially announced it.
Bought the Galaxy Nexus (White) from SingTel Shop at ComCenter on the 18th February 2012. Initially, the white color is only available online via SingTelShop.com. Since I am already at the physical store, so I thought no harm trying my luck to ask the Customer Service Officer (CSO) and to my surprise, they have it in-store at ComCenter! So those who want white, take note of this!
I ported Li Xiang over from M1 to SingTel and she signed a 2-year 3G Flexi Lite contract which cost S$39 per month. After telecom subsidy, the phone cost S$488.
What I gathered after reading the official site in the link above is that you can install or rather dual boot Ubuntu into Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and above.
Google Chrome for Android (beta) is now available in the Android Market Place. The sad part is that it requires you to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone or tablet to install it!
Engadget has their hands-on on with Google Chrome on Android! Check it out!
Sony Tablet S (3G/16GB) is finally available in Singapore as of 13th January 2012 for S$798. Because of the release of Sony Tablet (3G), the price for the WiFi version has been reduced as well.
Announced at CES 2012, Sony Xperia S (the link is still pointing to SonyEricsson.com) is Sony’s first smartphone after she broke up with Ericsson.
The specs for Sony Xperia S is pretty impressive (1.5GHz Dual-Core + 1GB RAM) and it does supports NFC as well. The only complaint I have is it should be launching with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) instead of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It will be available in 2 colors, black or white.
