Thermodo is a tiny electrical thermometer that measures the temperature right where you are on your iPhone, iPad and Android devices. I don’t think Windows Phone support will be there since the stretch goal of US$400,00 (in order for Thermodo to come out with a Windows Phone app) was never met. You can download the Thermodo app on Apple App Store or Google Play.
I backed Thermodo on Kickstarter on the 7th March 2013 and it was funded successfully on 10th April 2013 after raising US$336,018 out of their initial goal of US$35,000.
Received my custom LEGO Minifigures (Minifig) from Minifiglabs.com. Minifiglabs.com is a service started by a Singaporean company, Fish & Toast. It allows you to create your very own printed personalised LEGO Minifigures.
I was given the Cool Denim Couple Set which consists of two custom Minifig (printed with Lay Hiang and my name) and another custom Minifig with my logo printed on it.
Last month, Panasonic introduces the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-M1, a 7″ rugged Windows 8.1 Pro Tablet running on Intel Core i5 vPro processor. It is drop/shock resistant of height up to 150cm and has a rating of IP65 for water and dust resistant thanks to its fanless design.
The base model will start from S$2,600 in March 2014 and it can be customised to fit a range of accessories such as mini serial port, ethernet port, 2D barcode reader, GPS and NFC through its configuration port.
Facebook has finally roll out the feature that lets you edit your Look Back Video, I am not too sure whether the feature has been rolled out to all users. Here is the direct link: https://www.facebook.com/lookback/edit/.
You will be able to choose a fix number of photos from the four categories of the Look Back video, namely:
Chipolo is a Bluetooth item finder for iPhone and Android which started on Kickstarter. I backed the project on 8th November 2013 and it got successfully funded on the 16th November 2013 after raising US$293,014 out of the initial goal of only US$15,000.
My pledge level is US$99 (S$127) and shipping is free. I received the item on the 29th January 2014 via DHL Express!
SingTel rewards program used to be called Red Rewards and Red Prestige before they decided to drop the “Red” word last year to just SingTel Rewards and SingTel Prestige.
I was a SingTel Red Prestige member till 31st March 2012 because my monthly SingTel bill averages above S$250 for 6 consecutive months (I have 4 lines under my name). But after March 2012, my bill was less than S$250 per month and I no longer qualify for the SingTel Red Prestige.
Fitbit Flex is currently retailing for S$129. It was launched in Singapore last year on the 29th May 2013.
Fitbit Flex is a wireless activity tracker that tracks steps, distance, and calories burned. It is also able to track your sleep quality (how long/well you sleep, how many times you wake up). It also has a silent wake alarm that gently vibrates to wake you at your desired time.
The OtterBox Commuter Wallet For iPhone 5/5s is retailing for S$55 in Singapore. The case adds quite a bit of bulk to your iPhone because it gives your iPhone added protection against drops, bumps and shock. It also includes a slider compartment at the back that house up to 3 credit cards.
On the official website, it states that it can hold up to three cards and one bill, however when I tested it, it is not able to hold even a single note after placing 3 cards in (1x EZ-Link Card, 2x Credit Cards). I guess Singapore currency notes are bigger and thicker because of the materials it is printed on.
2 weeks ago, I was helping Li Xiang to look for eneloop rechargeable batteries for her office but to my surprise, I could not find any at all at all major electronics stores in Funan and VivoCity. I was wondering did they leave the Singapore market or their batteries sell so well that all the stores are out of stock (I was hoping the later). Many of my friends and I love eneloop batteries!
But luckily, it was just temporarily out of stock (I hope) and when I went back to Funan’s Challenger last week, there was plenty of stocks!
