Facebook Launches Facebook Places In Singapore

Cool, didn’t know Edelman is the PR agency for Facebook Singapore. Personally I prefer Facebook Check-In than Foursquare for unknown reasons.

Singapore, 16 February 2011 – Facebook today announced the launch of Facebook Places in Singapore. Already available in some countries, Facebook Places allows you to “check-in” and share with your friends where you are and who you’re with, find friends who are nearby and discover new places your friends like – all in real time.

Crumpler Pouch – The Tuft

Crumpler release a new pouch called “The Tuft” 2 days ago and this time, the pouch came with a Crumpler’s carbine hook. According to Crumpler at Raffles City Facebook Page, it is available in 3 sizes and in 3 colors (Red, Black & Beige).

However, when I went there on the day they announce it, there are only 2 sizes left, the medium and large. The medium size (S$35) is left with beige, and the large size (S$40) is left with black and red. If you are using DBS Live Fresh Credit Card or EpiCenter Member Card, there is an additional 10% discount.

TikTok + LunaTik Multi-Touch Watch Kits

TikTok + LunaTik is a multi-touch watch kits meant for Apple iPod Touch Nano (6th Generation). It is the most successful KickStarter project, raising a total of US$941,718. At first I was skeptical about it, but eventually as the deadline for the project grew closer, Li Xiang decided to just get it for me (thanks dear)!

She was the backer for LunaTik (US$50) alongside with the other 5,012 backers.

1 Year Later At mig33

It has been 1 year since I started working at mig33 (this is my first job)! Till date, I am still learning lots of new stuff everyday at work!

We do not just do coding, but also reading up on new technology trends and how we can deploy them to production so that they bring benefits to the company. For the past year, I learn stuff like Hadoop, Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ and on top of that scaling the LAMP stack and making them as efficient as possible is what we do as well.
