Been at least a week since I last updated this blog. I have been so busy with my other work even during my school holidays.
Here is what I have been up to:
It did not rain for many days, and it finally rain so heavily for a short while yesterday. After sending Li Xiang home, I went back home. As usual, I traveled from PIE (towards Changi), then exit to Clementi Ave 6 and followed by going straight to AYE (towards Keppel). I have been going by that route for 3 years plus and nothing happen.
I was at PIE (towards Changi) on the extreme left lane, some distance just before the slip road to Clementi Ave 6, the car in white (which you can see the photos below) was following me very closely behind me. The lane on my right was a slow moving car, so I decided to speed up a little so that he got enough space to cut to the lane on my right. But I didn’t expect him to exit from the same slip road as me (he is still following closely behind me), as all the way from the slip road to the bend, there is only 1 lane, so I maintain my speed. Once I reached the bend, the road is split into 2 lanes.
Ever wondered who is behind the voice of our MRT announcements? She is Juanita Melson. Check out this Youtube video! She is so much better than the current Ah Tiong voice. I wonder why SMRT change that. Sight, yet another part of our nation heritage being take over by Ah Tiongs.
My mom sent me this funny email about cows and corporation. If you seen it before, pardon me for being slow.
TRADITIONAL CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies and the economy grows.
You sell them and retire on the income.
Below are the specifications that I planned for my new computer which I am going to get after my exams (mid May 2008):
The pricing is dated on 5th April 2008 from Fuwell.
Prior to my ordering of Dell Monitors, my desktop computer crashed after 15 minutes into a demonstration of a 3D application. It always happen when I run 3D applications. But this time after it crashes and reboots, it can’t detect my Ethernet Card (Intel PRO/1000 CT Network Connection) which is embedded on my motherboard. I tried installing drivers but it still does not work. I got quite pissed off with it and hence I formatted my computer. Even after formatting, it still cannot detect my Ethernet Card. I got even more pissed and feel like throwing my computer out of the window or even smashing it with my hands.
I left my computer as it is and went to pick LiXiang up. We went to Jurong Point for dinner and on the way I bought a Linksys Wireless G Adapter (WUSB54G). This is the second time I am buying this adapter. The first time I bought it for my camp and then after I ORDed, I sold it to Laily for half price and now I am buying it again for S$59.00.
I turned 24 today! Happy birthday to myself. I am officially classified in the range of mid-twenties.
Thanks to all my friends for the birthday greetings, be it in Facebook, MSN or SMS. Thank you so much, it is the thought that counts =D
Vantage Point – 20th March 2008
Caught Vantage Point on Thursday at GV VivoCity. Personally, I find the movie is nice but I know of others who do not like the movie at all due to the repetition. I love how they tried to bring the message across to the audience based on different perspective. I love how they leave a cliff hanger at the end of each perspective and visiting it back later at the next perspective. I think back in 2005, Hoodwinked also uses this method.
24th Birthday Celebration – 21st March 2008
Celebrated my 24th birthday with Li Xiang at Mandarin Oriental’s Melt, The World Cafe, on Good Friday. The buffet dinner is S$70.00 per head on weekends and public holidays. Ordered an additional 2 glasses of pineapple juice and after paying the bill, I realise it is S$12.00 per glass. The total bill amounted up to S$164 and the tax and service charge alone is S$29.03. Ended up paying S$193.05.

This is sent to my email from Terry Peh, no idea whether it is true. But I found it rather interesting, so I decided to share with my readers.
