A busy Good Friday and Saturday on too little sleep, so I'll sleep soon, posting this while my hair dries. On Good Friday I used my dad's car all day, fetching Serene, Jackey and Laily to Li Xiang's house.

Hellboy
I went to watch Hellboy at GV Grand by myself. The film runs about two hours, excluding GV's adverts. I found it more interesting than Spider-Man or Daredevil, so I'd say it's better than both. Thumbs up.
Network Marketing
Today I met Patrick, my primary school mate, who wanted to introduce some business to me. It's MLM, but since we've been friends over ten years I gave him face and went. Lunch was at Lao Pa Sat.
Country Mana
I had dinner at Country Mana in Great World City, where their 11th-anniversary promotion offers a $7.99 set dinner, plus $1.99 each for soup and dessert. The food was okay but not filling; give me Ponderosa any day.
DAMM, My NS Letter Came
On Friday I went to Phuse's place, but after six hours we couldn't fix it, as his motherboard was a goner. We had dinner at the Kopitiam beside West Mall; their ban mian rocks, $4 for a big portion.
Dinner At Jurong Point
I met Jackey at Jurong Point. We wanted Fish & Co, but most were on a budget, so we hit the food court. I had the fried fish steamboat; the fish was nice but the soup too milky.
My First April’s Fool Joke
I just finished watching Timeline and quite liked it, a bit like The Butterfly Effect but less confusing, thumbs up. I also rewatched Love Actually, with the usual cuts from Singapore's Censorship Board on some parts.
Singapore vs Japan
Singapore take on Japan tonight at Jalan Besar Stadium. The Singapore Pools odds are telling: a Singapore win pays $15 to $1, a draw $9, and a Japan win just $1.05. I'm 99% sure Singapore will lose.
The Haunted Mansion
Yesterday I visited my grandmother's grave to beat next week's Qingming crowds, but plenty thought alike and the temple was packed. I also watched Darren and Evelyn's grand wedding on Channel U; it must have cost a fortune.
Unreal Tournament 2004 Competition
I met my team for the competition at Sim Lim Square. There were many cock-ups, delaying the match about 45 minutes. We got trashed by Ash Team 2 16-0, thrashed BDay Team 8-0, and won the third by walkover.
Paradiz Center
I met my #pixel.junkies friends for a LAN training session at IRC in Parklane; the computers were poor, especially the graphics cards, at the standard $2.50 an hour. Luckily I was nearby when the UT2K4 competition organiser called.
My 20th Birthday
I celebrated my 20th birthday with Jackey, Johnson, Terry, Li Xiang, Serene, Suqin and Laily at Suntec City's Joaquim Buffet Restaurant. The food was okay, but the company was great. We went to the Esplanade after.
The Butterfly Effects
I met Zeus for a Bak Chor Mee lunch at Marina Square, then caught The Butterfly Effect, a good film with an interesting, unique storyline, less confusing than Runaway Jury but still a bit. Thumbs up.
Runaway Jury
Saturday was busy, out from 10am to 4am. Li Xiang and I applied for passports, and to my surprise it took only ten minutes: fill the form, pay, drop it in the box, and it's ready next week. So efficient.
Unreal Tournament 2004
I had dinner with Jackey and company at Newton Food Centre; we ordered plenty but it was all just average. Today I collected my DVD version of Unreal Tournament 2004 from Software Boutique, which I regret buying.
Singapore ISP Sucks
Yesterday my dreadful internet connection dropped five times. This morning, checking my IRC log, I saw another five overnight, ten in 24 hours. StarHub, if you're reading this, please do something about your unreliable internet.
Ya Kun Kaya Toast
I went to Funan yesterday thinking Unreal Tournament 2004 launched then, but shipment was delayed to Friday, 19th March 2004 due to airplane problems. I'd ordered the limited-edition DVD version at Software Boutique, the only shop carrying it.
Mom’s New Handphone
I went to Orchard yesterday, where my brother bought lots of things and my mom got a new Samsung S500, passing her old Nokia 7210 to my grandfather. We then hit the Suntec City Food Fair.
KFC New Shrooms burger
Nothing to do while my hair dries the natural way, so I'll blog. I met my secondary school friends today after a month, luckily everyone was free. I don't like staying home on Saturdays unless I'm really tired.
I Am God Damm Pissed
I played with my iPod this morning and felt a bit dumb, as the manual is useless, but iPod Lounge online helped. While having lunch with my mom at Hans in Great Eastern Building, I spotted something worth noting.

I met my Pixel-Junkies friends Zeus and Ownage for IT Show 2004 at 11.30am, joining a big crowd waiting outside the hall. When the doors opened, it was like water through a funnel, the single open door the bottleneck.
Stuck On You
Last night I helped a friend render in 3DS Max 6, two hours for a single 1024-resolution frame. While waiting, I watched Stuck On You, since nothing good was on TV at 3am; I'd missed catching it in the cinema.
