Bought the Apple iPhone 5s Case (Brown) from the Apple’s Fifth Avenue store because I have to get something from that iconic flagship store! It is just slightly cheaper than Singapore if you pay by cash. Over there, it is retailing for US$39 + US$3.46 (NYC 8.875% tax) = US$42.46 (S$54), whereas in Singapore it is retailing for S$58.
The Moshi iGlaze Armour is a metallic case for the iPhone 5/5s and is retailing for S$54.90. It is available in Bronze, Silver and Black to match the colors of the iPhone 5/5s.
The build of this case is solid because the backplate is made up of aluminium and the case itself is made up of polycarbonate.
This is my first time using the Power Support – Air Jacket Set (Clear) for iPhone 5/5s. I got it when I was in Thailand from Siam Paragon for TH฿990 (S$40). It is selling for S$59.90 in Singapore, and in case you are wondering, the one I got in Thailand is definitely original.
Despite this being a set which comes with one Power Support anti-glare screen film and one crystal film, I am not using it on my phone. Instead I am using the Spigen Screen Protector GLAS.t NANO SLIM for iPhone 5/5c/5s (next blog post).
In my previous blog post on Raspberry Pi, I mentioned that I can’t seem to find any cases for Raspberry Pi on Elements 14, but now it seems that they do carry it.
I bought my Raspberry Pi – Clear Case from Michael Cheng (as he bought an extra case from Elements 14). I paid S$16 for it (including shipping and 7% GST).
It cost US$24.99 (S$31.63) and shipping to Singapore is an additional US$7 (S$8.85), and hence I paid a total of US$31.99 (S$40.49) for it. I ordered on 5th October 2011 but due to it being out of stock after I placed my order, I only received it on 24th October 2011.
I have been searching for a case to protect the back of my iPad 2 and it must work with Apple’s Smart Cover. I chanced upon this thread, Smart Cover Compatible Cases List, in MacRumors which came in handy.
I did some research myself and the availability of those covers in Singapore and I came to a conclusion that the SwitchEasy CoverBuddy is the most value for money and it will definitely be available in Singapore.
The packing comes with 2 screen protectors and the silicon cover for your iPod Nano 6G. The screen protector scratches way too easily and the silicon cover is not an exact fit, I find it rather too big for the iPod Nano 6G. Too bad there is no better case out there yet.
Received my Apple iPhone 4 Bumpers (Black) from the iPhone 4 Case Program today. It was shipped on the 20th August 2010 and it took about 5 days to reach me. The Apple iPhone 4 Bumper is retailing for US$29.
I can’t really find anything special about the bumper besides the metallic material used for the volume controls and power button. It does not protect the back which is major disadvantage.
