Microsoft Surface 2 will be available for sale in Singapore starting tomorrow, 13th March 2014. You can get it from authorised retailers like Challenger, Harvey Norman, Newstead, etc.
Accessories for the Surface 2 includes Touch Cover 2, Type Cover 2, and Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition.
Xiaomi will be launching the Redmi in Singapore tomorrow, 21st February 2014 at 12pm for S$169 without contract. Redmi is also known as Hongmi in China which directly translated to Red Rice in English.

The gold version of HTC One is now available in Singapore (since 18th January 2014) just in time for Chinese New Year.

Windows 8.1 will begin rolling out worldwide as a free update for consumers on Windows 8 through the Windows Store at 7pm on 17th October 2013 (Singapore Time). Windows 8.1 will also be available at retail and on new devices starting from 18th October 2013.

Personally, I find the service level in Singapore acceptable. I think the service level in retail shops are generally better than those in F&B. If I have to name one F&B in Singapore that has the worst service, it got to be Crystal Jade Kitchen.
Having been to the US (but not yet Japan), the service level in US is awesome for both for retail and F&B.
