Been almost 9 months since I did an upgrade to this site, so I guess it is time for me to post a site update. Most of it is about optimising the site so that it performs faster and better.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be officially launching in Singapore tomorrow, 28th September 2013 for S$1,048 without contract. Only the 32GB model will be available in Singapore. Two colors will be available at launch, the Jet Black and the Classic White.
Accessories compatible with the Galaxy Note 3 includes:
The Energizer XP3000A Portable Charger is retailing for S$59.90. It has a capacity of 3,000 mAh which is able to charge your iPhone 5 about two times before needing a recharge and it weighs 130g.
What makes the XP3000A special is the built-in lightning cable. This means you do not need to bring along another cable if you are using it with your iPhone 5.
The Belkin Audio Splitter is exclusive to Apple Stores got it for me when she was there. It is retailing for HK$148 (S$24).
It is a very simple no frills 3.5 mm (1/8 in.) audio jack splitter and definitely way overpriced. If you are using headphones/earphones with a microphone, the microphone part of it will not work because the splitter doesn’t transmit it to the phone.
Twelve South PlugBug World was announced beginning this year and I have no idea why is it not selling in Singapore yet, not even the Apple Online Store in Singapore.
When Li Xiang went to Hong Kong last week, she bought it for me from the Apple Store in IFC Mall, Hong Kong. It is retailing for HK$348 (S$60). Li Xiang also mentioned that the Twelve South PlugBug World is not displayed on the shelves and you might need to request the store assistant to get it from their storeroom.
WD Red hard drives are designed and extensively tested for compatibility under 24×7 operating environment and for the demanding system requirements of home and small office NAS.
Besides being a lightweight rugged Bluetooth speaker (346g), it also double up as a emergency portable charger using the built-in battery capable of outputting up to 1A. The 1,400mAh built-in battery will give you about 12 hours of music. Charging is done by micro USB and there is a 5 dots LED indicator to indicate the battery status.
Sony announced the Sony QX Lens last night at IFA 2013 in Berlin. The Sony QX lens are smartphone attachable lens-style cameras. It is compatible with most iOS and Android devices as long as it is able to install the PlayMemories Mobile app.
There are 2 models right now, the DSC-QX10 (Price: US$250, Sensor: 1/2.3, Pixels: 18.2) and DSC-QX100 (Price: US$500, Sensor: 1, Pixels: 20.2). Both models will be available end of this month in the US and October 2013 in Singapore.
