I finally bought a notebook at PC Show 2005, the first customer for the Fujitsu S6240 at $3,488. Free gifts included an extra 512MB DDR2 RAM, a Bluetooth USB adapter, a USB phone charger and an optical mouse.

Madagascar
I caught Madagascar at GV Grand on Saturday afternoon, an unlucky day as the ticketing system was down and they couldn't check our seats. They asked us to print tickets at the AXS station, but the card wouldn't fit.
Star Wars: Episode III
I caught Star Wars: Episode III yesterday at GV Marina, two hours and 20 minutes long. It was good; I've only seen episodes 2 and 3, but I quite like the storyline, two thumbs up.
Playstation 3 Specifications
Playstation 3 specifications have been revealed. The CPU is a 3.2GHz PowerPC-based Cell processor with one VMX vector unit per core, 512KB L2 cache and seven SPEs, totalling 218 gigaflops, paired with an RSX GPU at 550MHz.
XBox 360 Officially Revealed
The much-rumoured Xbox 2 isn't called Xbox 2 but Xbox 360, officially revealed on MTV in North America yesterday and elsewhere today. It packs a custom IBM PowerPC-based CPU with three symmetrical cores running at 3.2GHz each.
WordPress 1.5.1
WordPress 1.5.1 has been released today. Among the changes: login and feed fixes for IIS, faster gettext internationalisation, improved i18n string coverage, extended ping support, paging on the Manage Posts page, and URI-safe accent stripping for Latin Extended-A characters.
XXX2: The Next Level
I watched XXX2: The Next Level at GV Grand on Labour Day, an excellent action-packed show living up to XXX1. If you want storyline, though, give it a miss. I also caught Divergence, which was poor.
Site Updated To WordPress 1.5
As the title says, I've updated this site to WordPress 1.5, the smoothest upgrade I've ever been through, with no errors or major mishaps, just a few minor cosmetic bugs. Do report any errors you spot.
The Pacifier
Last Friday we watched The Pacifier at GV Jurong Point, our first midnight show. It was quite good, with some lame but funny parts; I loved the panda dance. Last week was a pasta week for me.
House Of Fury
I watched House of Fury the Friday before last, a good kung fu action movie, and personally I found it better than Kung Fu Hustle. I also received three letters, one from NTU confirming I qualify.
Updated My WordPress Plugins
I've updated all my WordPress plugins to be compatible with WordPress 1.5. This site, however, still runs WordPress 1.2, which I'll upgrade once I've modified the templates; writing code is far more interesting than tweaking code.
21st Birthday Party
Thanks to all my friends and relatives for coming, and for the presents and hong baos. Thanks to my family, especially my mom, for all the preparation, and thanks, dear, for the lovely card you made me.
I Turned 21 Today
At the stroke of midnight I turned 21, finally no longer a teenager but officially an adult, though sadly still slaving for the nation. Good things come in threes too: I'm 21, and this site turned a milestone today.
Robots
I watched Robots at GV Jurong Point, a good show even if the story is very fast-paced. It involves far more laughter than The Incredibles and is a must-watch if you're after a good laugh.
2 Movies In A Row
I watched Hitch at GV Marina on Sunday, starting at 1.30pm, and it's worth a good laugh. It ended at 3.45pm, and Li Xiang asked if I was thinking what she was, which set off watching another, Lemony Snicket.
Its March 2005
Time flies; it's now March 2005, and in exactly 22 days I turn 21. I caught Constantine, quite an interesting show, though some parts near the end were very lame, worth a laugh.
WordPress 1.5
WordPress 1.5 was released a few days back, a fairly major release compared with the jump from 1.0 to 1.2. This site still runs 1.2, and I'll upgrade once I find time to make all my many plugins 1.5-compatible.
New iPods
Apple is set to drop another iPod bomb on Wednesday. The regular iPod gives way to new 30GB and 60GB iPod photo models at $349 and $449, while the mini drops Gold and gains a 6GB version.
Deeply Touched
We went to Suntec City to celebrate our first Valentine's Day and bumped into Alvin and Jie Lin. Suntec was packed, with long queues everywhere, so we settled on Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao.
Happy Valentine’s Day
Wishing all couples a very Happy Valentine's Day. A Class 95 discussion on relationships struck me, especially one listener's line: I have learnt to shut up if I have nothing better to say.
Happy Lunar New Year 2005
Wishing all Chinese a happy and prosperous Lunar New Year. I have to mount camp tomorrow and dismount only on the second day of the new year, which is a bit of a downer for the festivities.
Shall We Dance
It's been a while since I last blogged. I watched Shall We Dance yesterday, quite a good and at times touching film, not really romantic but worth a watch with your partner. I also caught Elektra, another so-so Marvel movie.
