Looks like iPhone 4 will be available in Singapore on Friday, 30th July 2010, alongside with 16 other countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland).
Both Black & White iPhone 4 should be available during the launch on 30th July 2010.
Slow for a few hours but Apple finally releases iOS 4.0 to the general public at about 1am (GMT +8). Heard that it is exactly the same as the GM build release during WWDC 2010.
Here are the direct links FROM APPLE itself to iOS 4.0 for various iDevices:
Apple has quietly refresh Mac Mini the same time the iPhone 4 is ready for pre-order (today). The lime light has been stolen by iPhone 4 and hence there are no leaks or generated interests to the refreshed Mac Mini.
The new model brings about the aluminum unibody, adding in a SD card reader and a HDMI port. The graphics card has been upgraded to NVIDIA GeForce 320M (256MB) as well.
Apple officially announce iPhone 4 yesterday at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2010. I have been following it live on GDGT which I think is the fastest when compared to Engadget. This time round Gizmodo is just aggregating news as I think they are not physically there maybe because of the leak?
MicroSIM is now being used instead of the normal SIM card which is the same case as the iPad. Camera has been bumped up to 5MP with LED flash, front-facing camera added and Apple calls that FaceTime which is a nicer word for video conferencing except that it is for WiFi only. HD video recording at 720p, screen resolution has been increased to 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi, Three-axis gyroscope is added. Processor has been bumped up to 1GHz using the same Apple A4 chip found in iPad. For more details, check out the Design Page of iPhone 4.
I want an Apple 16GB iPad WiFi + 3G version, tried ordering from comGateway, but my order got rejected the next day because of overwhelming response. I briefly mention about it to my colleague, Alon, and he said I could just order it online from Apple Store and ship it to his house and he will bring it to Singapore the next time he comes.
So I did just that! Ordered on 22nd April 2010, status change to “Prepared to Ship” on 1st May 2010 and was shipped on the 7th May 2010.
Yeap, you heard that right, iPad is coming to Singapore in July 2010 together with Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands and New Zealand.
CUPERTINO, CaliforniaâMay 7, 2010âApple today announced that iPad will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK on Friday, May 28. Customers can pre-order all iPad models from Appleâs online store in all nine countries beginning on Monday, May 10. In the US, Apple has already sold over one million iPads and customers have downloaded over 12 million apps from the App Store, as well as over 1.5 million ebooks from the new iBookstore.
It is said that the Apple next generation iPhone aka “iPhone HD” was lost/dropped in a bar by Grey Powell, who is an Apple Software Engineer working on the iPhone Baseband Software. The iPhone was later found by someone else. Gizmodo rumored to have paid US$5,000 for the prototype and did a dissect of it. The iPhone is not bootable because Apple remotely killed the phone assuming immediately the phone was reported lost by its employee. No I wonder how many heads is going to roll.
I have mirrored the pictures from Gizmodo into Flicker:
I love my Dell 2408WFP Monitor because it has not 1 but 2 DVI ports! This allows me to connect to my Windows desktop as well as to my MacBook Pro without physically switching the DVI cables from my monitor.
As I have been using Mac a lot during office hours, I wanted the same setup I have in my office at home which is 1 external monitor and dual screen it with my MacBook Pro. In order not to clutter my desk with too many items, I bought the Apple Wireless Keyboard for S$98 and together with my Apple Magic Mouse paired using bluetooth to my MacBook Pro, I am able to have both Mac and Windows environment with just a single monitor but having 2 separate sets of keyboard and mouse.
Got the Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad for my office use at DG Lifestyle (yes, it is a HK company) at VivoCity for S$78.
