Like Pig
Posted By Lester Chan at 22:14 in Blog

I think pig is the most pitiful animal ever, all the negative side of a human is always mapped onto a map. And we, humans, eat almost every part of the pig.

Examples:
» Eat like a pig
» Sleep like a pig
» Lazy like a pig
» Smelly like a pig
» Fat like a pig
» Dirty like a pig
» Stupid like a pig

Poor pig.

2nd Anniversary
Posted By Lester Chan at 21:59 in Blog

Our 2nd Anniversary
Celebrated our 2nd anniversary at Seoul Garden at Ngee Ann City. The variety of food there at Seoul Garden is getting from bad to worst. Very limited choices. I think Yuki Yaki is now a better choice than Seoul Garden. Did not buy anything much for my ah dear. Just a box of chocolates for her. But I decorated my room ceiling with orange and blue glow in the dark stars.

When you off the light and lookup, the view is very spectacular, but unfortunately it will only last 5 minutes after that you need to on the light again to “recharge” the stars. It is kinda romantic and it will help you to relive your stress.

Happy 2nd Anniversary My Ah Dear, I love you lots and lots <3 <3 <3

Death Note
Thumbs up for this show. I love it. It is about 2 teenagers trying to outwit each other and not forgetting the Death god is so cute!

Dead Or Alive
Crap show with crap storyline but interesting fighting scenes.

Vivo City
Vivo City shall be our official movie going place, parking is much cheaper than Great World City and it is so much nearer to my house, only a 2 minute drive. And on Friday/Saturday night, Starbucks opened till 2am.

Singapore Future MRT/LRT Map
Posted By Lester Chan at 15:30 in Blog

If you know this already, ignore this post.

Singapore Future MRT/LRT Map

It is a very good news for me when I saw the map. Did anyone notice that NE2 Station is missing from the North East Line? NE1 Station is Harbour Front, NE3 is Outram. Where is NE2?

Apparently from the map, it is stated that NE2 is Kampong Bahru (station name is still pending) and Kampong Bahru is just behind my house. Woot, means I got a train home next time, instead of transiting from MRT to bus at Tiong Bahru or Harbour Front.

Suck In Programming
Posted By Lester Chan at 23:16 in Blog

I maybe good in web programming, but when comes to Java/C/C++/VB etc, thinking of the algorithms makes me feel so helpless and make wonder why the heck I go study, I should go out work as web programmer.

But when I managed to solve the algorithm, that thought just disappears.

By the way, NUS Course Marker sucks.

Programming Written Exams Are WTF
Posted By Lester Chan at 23:20 in Blog

Been so busy with school and nothing else but school, endless tutorials, lab exercises, quiz, test one after the other. Almost no breathing space at all.

But anyway, back to my blog topic, was doing my revision on CS1102, Data Structures and Algorithm, come across this question:

Assume we have a list of the integers 1 to n, where n is even. I take the items off one by one and enqueue the items at position 1,3,5,7, ¦ n-1 in the list into a queue qodd, and push the items at position 2,4,6,8 ¦ n into a stack seven. I dequeue all of the queues qodd items one by one, pushing each item onto a stack sodd. I then pop all of stack seven, one by one, enqueuing each of its items into a queue qeven. Finally, I gather all of them items back into one list, first by dequeuing an item from qeven, then popping an item from sodd. I continue alternating these paired operations of dequeue and pop until both qeven and sodd are empty.

After reading it, I was like WTF, this is not exactly testing your algorithm but testing the level of confusion you can absorb. Retarded question, and further more this is a MCQ, if it is structured it is not that bad at least got more marks for it.

I like programming, but I hate the written part of it.
