Lenovo Announces Range Of Touch-Enabled PCs With a Variety Of Form Factors

Lenovo has a bunch of new computers that will be available during and some after PC Show 2013 which will be held at Singapore Expo from 6th to 9th June 2013.

IdeaCentre Horizon
The IdeaCentre Horizon was the first thing that caught my eye at the event because it looks like a Microsoft PixelSense. It is running on Windows 8 Pro with Lenovo own’s Aura interface. It is still a little pale in comparison if you compare it with Microsoft PixelSense interface.

Chromebooks Now Available In Singapore

Chromebooks have arrived in Singapore and for some reasons, they are only on sale at Courts and not elsewhere like Challenger, Harvey Norman or Best Denki. I guess Courts got the exclusivity rights for the time being.

3 models of Chromebook are available, HP Pavilion Chromebook (S$449), Samsung Chromebook (S$449) and Acer C7 Chromebook (S$369).

Nook HD+ Tablet

During Mother’s Day week last week, Barnes & Noble dropped their price for their Nook HD+ Tablet from US$269 (S$335) to US$179 (S$222.80) for their 16GB model. Of course I bought it since it is a OK price for that specification and I always wanted to play with an Android tablet.

Nook HD+ doesn’t come with camera, GPS or 3G capability. It uses microSD card as a storage expansion. It uses its own proprietary 30-pin charging cable and since Nook is not available in Singapore,it is advisable to get a spare charging cable in case you misplaced yours.

OCDock

I was one of the early backers for OCDock (Kickstarter). I backed the project last year on the 4th December 2012 and the project got funded on 22nd December 2012 after raising US$107,979 despite the initial goal was only US$49,000.

The project was delayed by a few months, it was suppose to be shipping in January 2013 but I only got my last week on the 10th May 2013.

WordPress 10th Anniversary T-Shirt

Saw the WordPress 10th Anniversary T-Shirt post on WordPress.org and I told myself I have to get it!

It’s sale price is only US$10 (including free US Shipping) till 27th May 2013. For shipping to Singapore, I paid US$14.65. So in total I Paid US$10 (S$12.43) + US$14.65 (S$18.21) = US$24.65 (S$30.65)
