If you see the error Message could not be sent because a connection error occurred on MSN, it doesn't necessarily mean a connection problem. It may mean Microsoft is filtering your message server-side, killing messages that match certain patterns.
Nokia tunes into the cultural zeitgeist with its new Prism collection, a modernist range of fashion-alert mobile phones. The Nokia 7900 Prism and 7500 Prism pair sophisticatedly glamorous high-gloss black faces with progressive, geometric design cut for personalised style.
Apple has refreshed the Mac Mini at its summer Mac press conference, introduced a new iMac, now only 20 and 24 inches with a slimmer design, and a redesigned slimmer keyboard. The Mac Mini starts at S$1,048.
Here are some juicy StarCraft II videos shown during BlizzCon 07, including a Terran faction preview and a single-player campaign preview, both on PC. More StarCraft II footage is available over at GameSpot for anyone hungry for a closer look.
I've done some search engine optimisation for this site: removed /archives/ from the post URLs, added a dynamic page title. After this phase, I'm going to rename /blogs/ to /blog/, since technically there's only one blog, not many.
A man checked into a hotel and decided to email his wife, but accidentally typed the wrong address and sent it without realising. Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned from her husband's funeral.
Below is a live shot of the Nokia N81. I'm still waiting for an N82 live shot to leak, as I'm more interested in it for its candybar form factor. All should be revealed on 29th August 2007.
We all use passwords daily, so they're supposed to be long and difficult to keep accounts safe. We're always told that, yet many people still pick from the same handful of weak, common passwords.
It's been a busy few weeks, and I want to enjoy the last of my holiday before school officially starts on 16th August 2007. Right now I'm attending the CS3214 Workshop, which runs every day from 1st August onwards.
My first review here, so please be gentle with my skills; it's a home-made, unprofessional effort. In summary, the Samsung YP-K3's sound equaliser is a great feature, its sound quality clearly beats the iPod, and the interface impresses too.
Lots of rumours have circulated lately, especially about Nokia's Nseries. Nokia has announced many phones this year but no Nseries yet. This announcement should include the N95 8GB, N81, N82 and perhaps a surprise on 29th August. I can't wait.
In a roundtable with the European press, John Chambers confirmed the end of life for the Linksys name, to be replaced by the new, redesigned Cisco branding. This follows Cisco's April move to let Linksys resellers add Cisco products.
An internationalized domain name, or IDN, is an internet domain name that may contain non-ASCII characters, such as letters with diacritics, or characters from non-Latin scripts like Arabic or Chinese. The standard, however, remains a work in progress.
I've finally taken time to drop the www, redirecting and updating my links to reflect the change. I'll update the links in my WordPress plugins when I release their updates after WordPress 2.3 arrives in September 2007.
I've finally taken time to switch my site's feed over to FeedBurner, so I can see my subscriber count. Feel free to subscribe to the GaMerZ.Blog feed, or follow my GaMerZ.WordPress feed.
I went to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for The Year of Jacky Cheung World Tour 07. I arrived about two hours before the 8pm start and found plenty of parking, monitoring the carpark to gauge how it filled up.
I had dinner at Pasta de Waraku again, but this time I'm blogging with more information and photos. Pasta de Waraku is a Japanese casual pasta and cafe restaurant at The Central, where every pasta comes with a mini salad.
I think I've found the monitor I'll get next year! The Samsung 245BW is a 24-inch widescreen with 1920x1200 resolution, 5ms response time, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 3000:1 dynamic contrast and 400 cd/m2 of brightness. Images courtesy of Engadget.
Sony has announced a lighter version of the PSP at E3. It's not quite a PSP 2, more a PSP 1.5, keeping the 4.3-inch LCD and UMD but 33% lighter and 19% slimmer, with improved load times.
I caught Die Hard 4.0 on Saturday, a 150-minute film. It was slightly above average, as expected an action-packed affair with action almost throughout. Maggie Q only lasts halfway through, perhaps because she's Asian and this is a Hollywood film.
David, aka Zeus, Junyang and I have revived Frozened, now known as Frro. Do check out our web hosting plans. We've already ordered our own server from Dell and will be providing VPS solutions soon. Thank you for your support!
