Samsung Galaxy S2
Samsung Galaxy S2 (16GB) will be available from 24th June 2011 in Singapore for S$998 (without contract).

Specifications:

The Nokia X7 is not really an upgrade to any existing model, similar to the Nokia E6, it felt solid. It has a 4.0″ AMOLED capacitive touch screen and the body is made up of stainless steel. It will be the second mobile phone running on Symbian Anna after Nokia E6. It’s battery is non-removable.

The unique design about the Nokia X7 is the 4 corners of the phone. The 2 corners on 1 side contains the speakers and the other 2 corners on the other side are just dummy placeholders just to make it look more proportionate/even. The sound output from the Nokia X7 is pretty loud.

Was invited to a blogger event for the preview of Nokia E6 and Nokia X7 (next post). The Nokia E6 will be out in June 2011 and with a RRP of S$570. For sales launch only the Black and Sliver color will be available. The White will be launched at a later date. Wonder does it face the same problem as Apple having “white” color, but of course the “official” answer I got from the product manager is no.

The Nokia E6 is an upgrade to my Nokia E72. The built remains the same (solid because of stainless steel), the battery cover is still made of metal and the screen is made up of scratch resistant glass.

After almost a year of delay, the white version of iPhone 4 will be available tomorrow from Apple’s Online Store! Prices remain the same, 16GB for S$888 and 32GB for S$1,048.

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY will be available in Singapore exclusively to SingTel customers from 22nd April 2011.

Went for LG Blogger Night on Thursday at Black Coffee Dessert Bar located in TripleOne Somerset where they show us the LG Optimus 2X & LG Optimus Black.

The main feature of the LG Optimus 2X is the dual core NVIDIA TEGRA 2 Processor running at 1GHz and the overall experience of the phone is indeed snappy. If a stock Android ROM instead, I am sure it will be even faster. I am not a fan of any manufacturer customizing their own Android UI. I just prefer the stock Android UI. Having said that, the LG Android UI do have some similarities with the Samsung TouchWhiz UI.

The Nexus S is available from all leading mobile phone retailers at the recommended retail price of S$828, without contract and inclusive of GST.

As part of the Nokia Rangers program, I received another Nokia phone which is the Nokia C7-00.

The Nokia C7 is powered by Symbian^3 and features a 8 MP camera with dual LED flash and is capable of recording HD video. It has a 3.5″ AMOLED capacitive touch screen of 640 x 360 pixels. Standard connectivity includes WLAN 802.11 b/g/n with Bluetooth 3.0 and HSDPA cat 9 speed of up to 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA cat 5 speed of up to 2.0 Mbps.
