Hooted the A.C. Ryan Playon! HD Mini 2 on Thursday at the IT Show 2011. The RRP was S$199 but CitiBank credit cards customers can get an additional S$10 off, so end up paying S$189 for it. The A.C. Ryan Playon! HD Mini 2 features USB 3.0, 10/100/1000Mbps LAN connectivity and of course the brand new GUI 2.0. It was release back in early January 2011.
This media player is going to be connected to my living room television so that my parents can watch shows without turning on the iMac in the living room. I got the mini one instead as I will be streaming media from my A.C. Ryan Playon! HD which I got back in late November 2010.
If you fancy either an Angry Birds Plush Toy or a SingTel Droid Toy, just head down to SingTel Booth at IT Show 2011 and show them that you are a fan of SingTel by liking their Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/singtel, and then show your Facebook profile to the staff there and you will get a chance to catch one of these using the catcher aka UFO machine!
I was invited to the blogger session of Canon’s First Product Launch for 2011 at the brand new Canon Imaging Academy (CIA) which is just located right beside their office at Keppel Bay Tower!
The CIA will focus on developing new curricula, courses, and events that will enhance the imaging experience of programme participants. Courses planned for 2011 include basic photography, intermediate photography, strobist, studio lighting, creative photography and editing with DPP courses. The CIA will also introduce videography courses in 2011 to meet the increasing demand of enthusiasts who enjoy creating movies using Canonâs LEGRIA camcorders. For those who prefer a greater emphasis on hands-on experience, the CIA will also offer photography outings and overseas photo clinics. Each of the courses are designed to suit the varying skill-levels of participants from beginners to intermediate.
If you look at the above screenshot, that is what happen to a few of my photos in different folder within the Dropbox’s Photos folder. Recently I upgraded my Dropbox plan to 50GB for US$99/year and hence I am able to place all my photos in Dropbox for syncing them across all my computers.

Apple announces iPad 2 at yesterday iPad event. I was too tired to catch the event live via live blogging, so I only checked it this morning. It seems that most if not all the rumors are true, Facetime, dual camera, Photobooth, Dual Core A5 and available in white.
The hardware difference between iPad 2 and iPad is the upgrade to dual-core Apple A5, back and front camera, three-axis gyro and of course the support for CDMA network. In terms of physical design, it is about 100 grams lighter but 50% thinner. iPad 2 is now available in white as well, looks like they solve the problem of painting in white. iPad 2 prices is the same as the iPad, Apple did not make it cheaper this time.
