MicroSIM Cards in Singapore

Last Saturday, 29th May 2010, Starhub and M1 begun selling MicroSIM cards and SingTel will follow behind on 1st June 2010 which is tomorrow.

No idea whether does the telecos here allow MultiSIM card to have MicroSIM or it is strictly for data plans only. Nevertheless, you still can cut it to MicroSIM size by using just a scissors. Just BECAREFUL not to even snip a bit off the golden metal contact point as it will make the SIM card useless.

Sony Ericsson’s “Backstage” Session

Was invited to a Sony Ericsson’s Backstage blogger session, it is my first time attending a Sony Ericsson event! We are introduce to the company (Sony) tag line which is “make.believe”. The “dot” in the “make.believe” is important because it separates “make believe” from “make” and “believe”.

After the introduction we are introduce to 5 phones. Xperia X10, Xperia X10 Mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro, Vivaz and Vivaz Pro. The Xperia X10 family is running on Android 2.1 while the Vivaz family is running on Symbian OS S60 v5.

Sex & The City 2 Gala Premiere

HP hosted the Gala Premiere for Sex & The City 2 in Golden Village Vivo City yesterday night. We are very honored to be invited. I am super duper excited because I’m a big fan ever since the drama serial time. The stories just touches me as though “I am Carrie!”. I’m glad the 2nd movie didn’t make us wait that long!

The premiere is very organized, there are several activities going on after you collected your tickets. We have pictures taking with the Sex & The City’s backdrop, launch of SJP NYP perfumes, early bird special, HP Mini on display and even manicure for some privilege guests. Lester and me both draw all 3 different gifts from the lucky draw: bag charm, button mirror and note pad.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Thanks to Hwee Tong and Sharon for the gala invite for the movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time at Cineleisure! The movie opens this Thursday, 27th May 2010 islandwide!

The movie lasts about 2 hours and it is pretty action packed movie from the start to the end. The sand animation is good, something we have not seen before. Just as when you thought water animation is difficult, I think sand animation is equally difficult. There are some scenes that will make you go WTF are they doing kissing in the middle of a life and death crisis. As the movie is set in the desert, the whole movie practically takes place in the day.

Got My Apple 16GB iPad WiFi + 3G!

I want an Apple 16GB iPad WiFi + 3G version, tried ordering from comGateway, but my order got rejected the next day because of overwhelming response. I briefly mention about it to my colleague, Alon, and he said I could just order it online from Apple Store and ship it to his house and he will bring it to Singapore the next time he comes.

So I did just that! Ordered on 22nd April 2010, status change to “Prepared to Ship” on 1st May 2010 and was shipped on the 7th May 2010.

Steam For Mac Now Available

Steam for Mac is now available for download and you will get Portal for free!

Portal used to cost money. Until May 24th, it’s free. End of story.
Well, technically speaking, there are some strings attached. Fortunately, they’re entirely decorative. We just like the way they look, swaying in the gentle breeze created by a million people simultaneously fainting from shock at the news that Portal is free. Now you have no reason not to try Portal.
