Happy 50th Birthday Singapore! You have came a long way since 9th August 1965. Can’t wait to see what another 50 years will bring to you.
I like the above image, despite it being obviously photoshopped. It is done by Sheng Long Lua (@lualongahlong).

Yesterday was my first birthday after 30 years old and that makes me 31 years old!
Last year, Li Xiang and I went to Sydney, Australia to celebrate my birthday. This year we stayed in Singapore to save some money as we are going travelling later on in June.
Received my Singtel Prestige Card for the year 2015. The design of the card has been changed. I did blog about the design for 2011 and 2014.
To qualify for Singtel Prestige, you need to be an existing Singtel Mobile, Home Broadband or mio TV service user for at least a year, and have a minimum spending of at least S$250 per month on your Singtel bill for the last 6 consecutive months and you will be automatically enrolled into the Singtel Prestige programme.

Singtel yesterday launched a new brand identity. The agency behind Singtel’s branding exercise is Ogilvy. The last rebranding was done 16 years ago.
They also have a new tagline: Let’s make everyday better. The tagline reflects a new phase in Singtel’s transformation journey to grow beyond traditional telecommunications into multimedia and ICT services.
In Looking Back 2013, I wanted to travel to Japan, but that didn’t happen. However, I am still on Holidays in Hong Kong for 13 days (22nd December 2014 – 3rd January 2015)!
For my 2014 resolution/wish, I think is time to save some money because of all the travelling! And to contradict my previous statement, maybe for the 2014 year end holidays, I hope to maybe travel to Tokyo, Japan.
I joined Tech in Asia as The Tech Guy on 1st September 2014. It has been a busy September for us. There are two developers (Li Soon and I) in Tech in Asia and we have another team in Vietnam that is doing Techlist.
Our priority for September is basically to scale Tech in Asia.
In case you haven’t been following me, I left migme (previously known as mig33) after 4 years and 7 months there. I went in as a Web Engineer and along the way I got promoted to Senior Web Engineer. It has been an awesome ride with my fellow colleagues in migme.
Here is my farewell message to them:
*UPDATE* Check out the newer Singapore Future MRT/LRT Map (April 2019).
Here is the real future MRT/LRT map in Singapore as of 15th August 2014. It contains the newly announced stations of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) which will be ready by 2024.
Yesterday was my 30th birthday! The big 30! I am no longer in the 20+ years old range =(
Sydney Trip
Just came back from Sydney, Australia after spending a week there for holidays with Li Xiang! Sydney is a good place to retire but generally prices there are so much more expensive than Singapore (maybe except for houses and cars). I got a shocked when I paid AU$20 for a 2-hour parking!
