I bought the Pixel Ruler from UI Stencils for US$29 (S$41) and shipping to Singapore is an additional US$14.60 (S$21) via USPS First-Class Package International Service.
The Pixel Ruler is a good tool to have for responsive screen size sketching. It is a heavy-duty gauge stainless steel ruler with pixel increments. There are markers on the ruler for mobile, tablet and widescreen (laptop) sizes.
The original Chromecast was released on 24th July 2013 and has since sold over 20 million units. 2 years later, Google finally unveiled an updated Chromecast and announced it during a special event that was held on 29th September 2015.
You can call it Chromecast 2 or Chromecast (2015). I would prefer Chromecast (2015) since the product name is still called Chromecast and Google uses the slug “chromecast_2015” in its store URL to buy the Chromecast.
I love the concept of Logitech Harmony Home Control, but unfortunately, it is not available for sale in Singapore and you have to get it from Amazon.
I noticed that Amazon was having a Gold Box deal on the 8th September 2015 for the Logitech Harmony Home Control. It’s usual price is US$149.99 (S$215) but for the Gold Box deal, it is only US$99.99 (S$144) with free shipping to Singapore using AmazonGlobal Saver Shipping if your purchases are above US$125.
LaMetric Time was launched on Kickstarter on 17th June 2014. It got successfully funded on 1st August 2014 after raising US$370,001 out of their initial goal of US$69,000 from 2,215 backers.
I was one of their super early bird backer. I pledged US$119 (S$168) for the LaMetric Time itself and shipping to Singapore is additional US$25 (S$36).
The Linksys Max-Stream AC2600 MU-MIMO Gigabit Router or Linksys EA8500 Router in short was released on 4th August 2015 exclusively at Challenger and is now available in most electronics stores. The recommended retail price of the Linksys EA8500 is S$399.
Despite having a model number of EA8500, it is not exactly a lower end model when compared to the Linksys EA9200 Router. The Linksys EA9200 is a AC3200 router and hence it is capable of speeds up to 3,200Mbps while the EA8500 is an AC2600 router capable of speeds up to 2,530Mbps. But let’s be honest here, even in the perfect case environment, we will not be able to get up to the theoretical speed.
