Twitter Archive

3 years ago, I blogged about How To Get Your First Tweet If You Have More Than 3,200 Tweets? which has accumulated about 55k views. The instructions uses Internet Archive which may or may not be available for some users.

But I am glad that Twitter has been rolling out the ability to download your Twitter Archive to most users already. That option can be found in “Twitter.com -> Settings -> Your Twitter Archive”.

Pebble Watch

Pebble Watch was the 9th Kickstarter project that I backed. It broke the Kickstarter record of the most highly funded Kickstarter project. It’s initial goal was only US$100,000 but it raised US$10,266,845 from 68,929 backers.

The project started on 11th April 2012, I backed it the next day on the 12th April 2012 and it got funded on 19th May 2012. After almost a year of development, my Pebble Watch got shipped on 10th February 2013 and I finally received it on Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2013.

Indoor Google Maps For Android Now Available In Singapore

Starting today, with the release of Indoor Google Maps for Android in Singapore, you are able to determine where you are, what floor you’re on, and where are the shops located with regards to your current location in the shopping mall.

Detailed floor plans will automatically appear when you’re viewing the map and zoomed in on a building where indoor map data is available. And, in certain locations, you will have the option of using the indoor My Location feature to help you navigate your way inside. The familiar “blue dot” icon can indicate your approximate location, and when you move up or down a level in a building with multiple floors, the interface will automatically update to display which floor you’re on. All this is achieved by using an approach similar to that of ‘My Location’ for outdoor spaces, but fine tuned for indoors.

The Western Digital My Book Thunderbolt Duo (8TB) is retailing for S$1,199 which is pretty expensive for a external hard drive.

ATake Rain Dance Speakers

Received the ATake Rain Dance Speakers from my cousin as a gift. If you are interested in purchasing it, it is selling for S$39.90 at Challenger, Courts, Popular and Newstead.

I think the ATake Rain Dance Speakers is good for outdoor parties (like a BBQ) or you can buy it for a gift exchange, it is not really something that you would use it with your desktop computer as the sound produced is a little muffled.

Côte&Ciel – Spree Messenger Bag (Grey Melange)

Bought the Côte&Ciel Spree Messenger Bag (Grey Melange) from city’super at Harbour City in Hong Kong for HK$1,250 (S$200). The size I bought is medium and it will fit up to 13″ laptops.

I think I just become a fan of Côte&Ciel bags, their bag design is unique and nice. If you want to get their bags in Singapore, you can check out Cumulus at Wheelock Place or their online store cumulus.sg.

Innergie PocketCell Duo

The Innergie PocketCell Duo was showcased at CES 2013 back in January 2013. It is the successor to the Innergie PocketCell which is retailing in Singapore for S$79.

The Innergie PocketCell Duo is a very light portable battery charger weighing 132.5g and has a capacity of 6,800mAh. It is capable of outputting 2.1A for each USB port. This makes charging high capacity devices like the iPad, iPad Mini, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 faster than most portable battery chargers. You can even charge 2 iPad at that same time without compromising the charging speed.

Twelve South HiRise For iMac

Bought the Twelve South HiRise for iMac from Hong Kong Hysan Place‘s Apple Store located in Causeway Bay for HK$618 (S$99).

I can’t seem to find the HiRise in Singapore, even Apple Singapore and Hong Kong Online Store doesn’t list the product. You best bet is to get the product directly from Twelve South website itself for US$79.99 (S$99) excluding shipping of about US$45 to Singapore.

Twelve South BackPack 2

Bought the Twelve South BackPack 2 from Hong Kong Hysan Place‘s Apple Store located in Causeway Bay for HK$268 (S$43). I saw it selling in Singapore at Epicenter at Wheelock Place for S$55 while Apple Singapore Online Store is selling for S$49.

The BackPack 2 fits well for the new iMac 27″ (Late 2012), but according to the site, it is not yet compatible with the new 21.5″ iMac.
