I have been addicted to Apple’s Push Notification Service ever since I bought Prowl. There are endless possibilities on what you can do with Push Notifications.
The Apple Push Notification Service is a mobile service created by Apple Inc. that was released with iPhone OS 3.0 on the 17th June 2009. It uses push technology through a constantly-open IP connection to forward notifications from the servers of third party applications to the iPhone or iPod Touch; such notifications may include badges, sounds or custom text alerts.

I finally clicked on the magical link called “File For Graduation” as I will be graduating this semester. My last paper will be on the 3rd December 2009! My course is a 4 years course but because I was from polytechnic (Singapore Polytechnic) I got 33 Module Credits (MC) exemption which adds up to about half a year worth of modules and hence I graduate one semester or half a year earlier! Woot
My internship with Sedgwick Richardson ended last Friday exactly on the 31st July 2009. This week is my one week school holiday before my school starts on the 11th August 2009.
This will be my final semester and finally I can get to click on the “File for Graduation” tomorrow after the modules that I bid have been allocated to me.
Went to Desaru for a 2 days 1 night trip with my family (6 of us) on Saturday. It is S$178 per pax. It is organized by the Ngan/Gan Clan Association (my mom’s surname is Ngan). We gathered at the association at 7am early in the morning. There are 27 people in the tour group including the 6 of us, majority are aunties and uncles. Surprising with them around, the bus left at about 7.12am which is pretty punctual. I would think that if the group contains mostly teenagers, it would probably left at 7.30am instead.
There is not much jam on the causeway this time round. This is also the first time I used the new checkpoint in Johor Bahru since it opens its door on 16th December 2008.
I have moved Li Xiang blog from http://hiang1211.blogspot.com/, powered by Blogger, to our domain called http://onezero24.net/, powered by WordPress. I have imported all the post successfully by NOT using the default WordPress importer (WP-Admin -> Tools -> Import -> Blogger).
What I did was to make a backup of the blogger site (Blogger Admin -> Settings -> Basic -> Blog Tools -> Export Blog) and then it will generate a XML file for you to download it to your PC.
This is a very rare occasion that I did not go for a PC Show at the opening hours but instead went there at 7pm due to work. As compared to IT Show 2009, I do not really like the PC Show 2009. It seems that the walk space between booth is much narrower and Sony/Microsoft normally have a booth at level 3 so that the crowded will be spread out evenly. But for PC Show 2009, their booth are in level 4 or 6 and hence level 4 and 6 is extremely crowded.
The prices as compared to IT Show 2009 (3 months ago) are almost the same if not the same. Thumbdrive and memory cards are the same if not cheaper in Sim Lim Square anytime.
