It's been a busy fortnight with end-of-semester assignments due, and I've been doing my CS2261 EJB work at Starbucks while Li Xiang draws. Now I know which Starbucks have power-outlet seats! I also caught Music & Lyrics at GV VivoCity.

I've been swamped with school as the semester ends, with two reports and a programming assignment still to do. I just submitted my CS2250 video assignment; the lecturer was very strict, insisting it stay under five minutes.

I watched Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, my first R21-rated film, running roughly two hours and 45 minutes. The front part was a little draggy, but overall it was decent, with an interesting storyline and a thoroughly bizarre ending.

Singapore’s Weather
These past few days, Singapore's weather has been wonderfully cool and windy, and I simply love it. I barely feel the usual heat at all, a rare and welcome respite from our typically humid, sweltering tropical climate.

I just realised I can get Microsoft Vista free from my school, and I'm downloading it now. A shame it comes on five CDs rather than one DVD. Still deciding whether to install it on my desktop or laptop.

So far I'm very satisfied with Dreamhost's customer support. I filed three support tickets this week, with the fastest reply within 15 minutes and the slowest within 24 hours. The site went down this evening too.
First Day Of Semester 2 06/07
After over a month of holidays, semester 2 of academic year 2006/2007 finally started today. I must work extra hard to pull my crappy 3.18 GPA up to maybe 3.2 or 3.3, and hopefully above 3.5 before I graduate.
My Dream PC In 2008 Part II
I posted my dream PC specs back in August 2006, and some now look unrealistic, so I've been researching. The Intel Core 2 Quad heading mainstream this year is codenamed Kentsfield, essentially two dual-core dies on one package.
