Fabrix launches Fifth October iPhone case as a tribute to Steve Jobs who passed away on the 5th October 2011. The case cost US$10 (S$12.70). Shipping within Singapore via Registered Mail cost an additional US$3 (S$3.80). I ordered on the 18th October 2011 and I received it on 24th October 2011. But now due to overwhelming orders, the waiting time is at least 3 to 4 days before your order is processed.
Description Of The Fabrix Fifth October iPhone Case
It cost US$24.99 (S$31.63) and shipping to Singapore is an additional US$7 (S$8.85), and hence I paid a total of US$31.99 (S$40.49) for it. I ordered on 5th October 2011 but due to it being out of stock after I placed my order, I only received it on 24th October 2011.
3 months ago, PayPal Singapore did an very interesting video for me regarding my SwitchEasy CoverBuddy for iPad 2 purchase. It was a massive effort by the team and the costs involved must be huge as each blogger’s video is different and there are 20 bloggers! Kudos to you guys!
Just in case you miss it, here is the video again:
Ordered the Bluelounge MiniDock (UK variant) from bluelounge.com for US$19.95 (~S$24.20). It was my first purchase over the website as the MiniDock is not yet sold in Singapore.
The shipping cost is about US$4.15 (~S$5) via USPS (First Class Mail International Parcels). This shipping method is the cheapest but it is delivered via normal mail when it reaches Singapore as it does not come with a tracking number. Also my box is a little bit damage, but at just S$5 for shipping, I can’t really complain much. My item was shipped on 20th August 2011 and I received it on 8th September 2011 (about 20 days).
This SpaceStation should complete my Bluelounge collection for the time being. I ordered Bluelounge MiniDock and Bluelounge Extra Connectors online and still waiting for it to arrive sometime in mid September. I have yet to order Bluelounge Kicks as I want to wait for my previous shipment to come first before deciding to order again.
So far I have only saw The Sanctuary selling at EpiCentre at Ion Orchard, I have not seen other shops carrying it yet. I think there is at least 5 of them there when I got it last week. They only carry the Black variant.
Cocoon has an interesting product which I would call it a bag organizer for gadgets, it is called Grid-It! They come in various sizes and colors to suit different bags and gadgets sizes. Prices range between US$10 to US$50.
Ever since then I have been checking out various branches of Epicentre, but all of them do not have the black color. I also saw it at DG Lifestyle Store at VivoCity but they do not have black as well. But I left my name with them and ask them to call me when they have re-stock for black color.
I passed my MacBook Pro 15″ to my brother and will be using my work MacBook Pro 15″ as my “official” laptop and hence I will need to bring it around from my work place back to home and vice versa and needed a bag to hold it.
I am using Fabrix Case‘s MacBook Pro sleeve previously but that sleeves requires one of my hand to hold on to it and since the MacBook Pro is so heavy, I can’t use the hand to hold other stuff while securing my MacBook Pro tight. So I decided to go for a proper working bag which can fit my MacBook Pro as well as some accessories.
I have been searching for a case to protect the back of my iPad 2 and it must work with Apple’s Smart Cover. I chanced upon this thread, Smart Cover Compatible Cases List, in MacRumors which came in handy.
I did some research myself and the availability of those covers in Singapore and I came to a conclusion that the SwitchEasy CoverBuddy is the most value for money and it will definitely be available in Singapore.
